Our Services

  • We treat the interior of your home with pet friendly and child friendly non-repellent insecticide so the insects can’t detect it and keep the interior of your home protected. The exterior is treated with a repellent insecticide to keep the insects away. We also go around your property and remove any cob-webs we find. We also apply a granular bait which roaches and ants love for an added secondary barrier around your home and business.

  • We pride ourselves with the best products on the market. So that's exactly what we use for mosquitoes. We treat the exterior of your property or business with a contact residual insecticide repellent, with an (IGR) Insect Growth Regulator to break down the mosquitoes breeding cycle and use a granular larvicide on potted plants and plants that may hold water and harbor mosquitoes. If you’re not too sure about the chemical side of pesticides in your home, we also provide an all-natural organic insecticide repellent that contains cedar oils, rosemary, peppermint, and lavender.

  • Premium Pests is a subcategory to pest control. The insects that fall under this category usually follow a more aggressive approach and require more time and care to get rid of. Some of them include Carpenter ants, Fleas and ticks, German roaches, Rodents and Bed Bugs. If you want to include any of these services with your general pest control, please let the technician know so that he can give you a discount for that.

  • At Gables Pest Control, we specialize in humane and efficient wildlife removal services. Our team of experienced professionals is dedicated to safely removing unwanted wildlife from your property, ensuring the well-being of both our clients and the animals. We handle a wide range of wildlife issues, including raccoons, squirrels, Opossums, and more. Ants

Ants are one of the most common reasons pest control companies receive house calls. They come in many shapes and sizes and can invade any structure due to their small bodies, typically ranging from 3 to 6 mm in length. Four common ant species that invade homes are the Florida Carpenter ant, Ghost ant, Crazy ant, and Big-headed ant, among other species found in the area. They often forage for food outside in mulch beds and at the bases of trees but can also be found indoors, particularly in kitchens and bathrooms. Like most insects, ants require water, a food source, and shelter to survive.

Two invasive ant species that are more difficult to treat and require a more aggressive approach are the Carpenter ant and the Big-headed ant. Carpenter ants behave differently from other species; they do not leave a trail to follow and instead wander sporadically in search of food and nesting sites. They typically nest in rotten wood, gutters where leaves accumulate, and other damp areas in homes. Unlike termites, they do not eat wood but instead create nests inside it to lay their eggs and house their colonies. Carpenter ants are also the largest ant species found in North America.

The second invasive species, the Big-headed ant, burrows into the ground and can invade structures through the foundation, where they establish nests and travel. Once inside, they create small dirt mounds as shelter. This species, along with many others, is treated using specialized insecticides and granule baits strategically applied throughout the property.

Bed Bugs

Bed bugs are in a league of their own, requiring a more extensive and aggressive approach to exterminate. In most cases, they are brought into homes through travel luggage. Over time, bed bugs have developed resistance to many pesticides, and in about 10 years, they may become completely immune.

That’s why our approach involves using a dust insecticide that dehydrates them, placing traps around your bed, and changing mattress covers to help eradicate them. Bed bugs are attracted to the CO₂ our bodies emit, which draws them to your bed while you sleep. They can survive anywhere from three to six months without feeding, making them especially difficult to eliminate.

But don’t worry—we’ve got your back.

Cockroaches

Cockroaches come in many shapes and sizes and are among the most invasive pests to infest homes and businesses, second only to ants. The German roach is the most troublesome of all, commonly found in kitchens and bathrooms. They are particularly difficult to eliminate, as a single female can lay up to 30 eggs per month for up to 10 months. Because of their rapid reproduction, multiple treatments are often required, with severe infestations sometimes needing up to five services.

Another common Florida roach is the American roach, also known as the Palmetto bug. These roaches typically enter homes when outdoor conditions become excessively wet or when there are plumbing issues. Unlike German roaches, they do not thrive indoors and are often found dead on their backs after just one pest control treatment. They are commonly found in sewers, underneath sinks, and in basements.

These are the two most prevalent roach species in South Florida, and they can be found almost anywhere. To prevent infestations, follow these key steps:

  1. Maintain cleanliness – A clean home is the first line of defense against roaches.

  2. Seal entry points – Identify and close any gaps or holes where roaches may be entering.

  3. Limit cardboard storage – Avoid keeping Amazon boxes and grocery store paper bags inside for long periods. If possible, break down cardboard boxes in the garage or remove them from the home immediately after unpacking.

By following these preventive measures, you can reduce the risk of roach infestations and keep your home pest-free.

Fleas & Ticks

Fleas and ticks are among the most significant external parasites affecting pets, livestock, and humans. Both are highly abundant, have irritating bites, and can transmit diseases. Fleas can also transmit tapeworms, while ticks are known carriers of Lyme disease, Rocky Mountain spotted fever, and relapsing fever.

One effective way to treat flea and tick infestations is to hire a professional exterminator to treat both the interior (if infested) and the exterior of the property. This involves using an insecticide combined with an insect growth regulator (IGR) to disrupt the breeding cycle. Additionally, regular vacuuming of rugs and carpets is essential, as it stimulates flea and tick eggs to hatch, bringing them into contact with the insecticide for more effective elimination.

Flies

Flies, like mosquitoes, are found everywhere, but they are most commonly seen around sinks and drains in homes. One effective way to control flies is to eliminate their food source, which is typically rotting food buildup around the sink. Clogged or backed-up pipes can also create ideal conditions for them to emerge.

One of the best treatment methods is to have a professional exterminator foam the drains with an insecticide, targeting the breeding grounds where flies reproduce.

Mosquitoes

Mosquitoes are one of the few insects in the animal kingdom that provide no environmental benefits. They are a persistent nuisance that invade properties and require exterior treatments with insecticides and Insect Growth Regulators (IGRs)to disrupt their life cycle. Additionally, natural treatments using cedar oil, peppermint, and lavender can serve as effective deterrents around your property.

A single female mosquito can lay her eggs and thrive in as little as a bottle cap filled with water. To help prevent mosquito infestations, eliminate standing water on your property by flipping over children’s toys, buckets, and other objects that can collect and retain water.

Rodents

Rodents can easily invade your home, with the kitchen, laundry room, and attic being the most common areas to find rats and mice. While both are troublesome, they are easy to differentiate.

In Florida, there are two primary rat species: the Roof Rat and the Norway Rat. These rats are larger in size and have teeth that never stop growing, causing them to constantly chew on wires, plastic, and wood. They also create burrows and tunnels within insulation. Identifying the type of rat often requires a technician to analyze their droppings.

Mice, on the other hand, are naturally curious and are more likely to be seen during the daytime, often showing little fear of humans. They are generally easier to eliminate since they will approach traps, unlike rats, which tend to avoid unfamiliar objects and changes in their environment.

To prevent rodents from entering your home, seal any entry points and trim back tree branches touching the house, as these provide easy access.

Spiders

Spiders are very tricky to treat. Unlike other insects that walk with their legs dragging or making full contact with the floor, Spiders walk on their tippy-toes. Therefore if direct contact with insecticide is not applied, the spider will not be affected by it. Also, one of the many reasons there are spiders inside the property is because there are other factors as far as food source for them. They typically eat any kind of crawling insect that gets trapped in their web.

One form of pest control is knocking down and removing any cobwebs in the corners with a de-webber that you can buy on amazon. If that’s too much, your local pest company should provide a service where they provide this kind of action.

Wasps

Wasps can be dangerous to have around as they are very territorial. Unlike Honey Bees, wasps have a stinger that remains attached when attacking a would-be intruder. Paper wasps are the most common wasps species in SFL and typically nest under the Eaves and windows of homes. They are easy to eliminate because they are very delicate to pesticides. They hive can also be removed using a weber with a long pole attached to it.

Wildlife

Wildlife can become a detriment to your home by causing structural damage, spreading diseases, contaminating food and water supplies, creating noise disturbances, and potentially posing threats to pets and family members. Wildlife can be safely removed from homes through methods such as humane traps, exclusion techniques like sealing entry points, and professional relocation services provided by our experts, ensuring both the safety of the animals and the peace of mind of homeowners.
