Our Services
-
We treat the interior of your home with pet friendly and child friendly non-repellent insecticide so the insects can’t detect it and keep the interior of your home protected. The exterior is treated with a repellent insecticide to keep the insects away. We also go around your property and remove any cob-webs we find. We also apply a granular bait which roaches and ants love for an added secondary barrier around your home and business.
-
We pride ourselves with the best products on the market. So that's exactly what we use for mosquitoes. We treat the exterior of your property or business with a contact residual insecticide repellent, with an (IGR) Insect Growth Regulator to break down the mosquitoes breeding cycle and use a granular larvicide on potted plants and plants that may hold water and harbor mosquitoes. If you’re not too sure about the chemical side of pesticides in your home, we also provide an all-natural organic insecticide repellent that contains cedar oils, rosemary, peppermint, and lavender.

Premium Pests is a subcategory to pest control. The insects that fall under this category usually follow a more aggressive approach and require more time and care to get rid of. Some of them include Carpenter ants, Fleas and ticks, German roaches, Rodents and Bed Bugs. If you want to include any of these services with your general pest control, please let the technician know so that he can give you a discount for that.

Ants
Ants are one of the most common house calls a pest control company receives. They come in many shapes and sizes. They can invade any structure because of their 3-6 mm long bodies. There are 4 common species of ants that invade homes; the Florida Carpenter ant, Ghost ant, Crazy ant, and big headed ant among other species found. They commonly forage for food found outside in mulch beds and bases of trees. But can also be found inside kitchens and bathrooms. They are like most insects who require some sort of water and food source to live along with shelter.
The two ant species that are invasive and rather harder to treat and require a more aggressive approach are the Carpenter ant and Big-headed ant. Carpenter ants are not like any other species. They do not leave a trail to follow and just wander sporadically for food and places to find a home and nest in, typically rotten wood, gutters where leaves accumulate and any damp areas in the home as well. They do not eat the wood, they nest their eggs inside and hide the colony there. They are also the biggest species of ants found in North America.
The second invasive species is Big-headed ants. This species is one of the ant species that buries in the ground and can invade a structure through the foundation where the nest and travel. They find their way in and create little dirt mounds where they find shelter. This ant species along with many others are treated with certain insecticides and granule baits throughout the property.
Bed Bugs
Bed Bugs are in a league of their own. They require a more extensive and aggressive approach to exterminate. Nine times out of ten they are brought into a home with travel luggages. Bed bugs have grown immune to most pesticides and in about 10 years time, they will be completely immune. That is why as far as our approach, we use a dust insecticide that dehydrates them, place traps around your bed and change the mattress covers to help eradicate them. They smell the CO2 that our bodies emit, so that’s what draws them into your bed where you sleep. They can live anywhere from 3-6 months without feeding. That's what makes them so hard to kill. But we have your back.
Cockroaches
Cockroaches come in many shapes and sizes. For one, they are one of the most invasive species to invade your home or business next to ants. The German Roach is the king of all roaches in the modern world, they are typically found in kitchens and bathrooms of properties and are somewhat tricky to eliminate. The female can lay anywhere between 30 babies every month for up to 10 months! They need multiple services to eliminate. In some extreme cases it requires up to 5 services.
The next common Florida roach is the American Roach A.K.A the Palmetto Bug. These roaches find their way in after the grounds get really wet outside or the property has a plumbing problem. They don't thrive well inside and can be found on their backs after one pest control visit. They are found in sewers, underneath sinks and basements.
These are the two most popular roaches in SFL which can be found basically anywhere. Some of the ways to avoid having these pests inside the home is making sure the occupants maintain a cleanliness atmosphere. That is the first form of pest control. Second, is to find the holes where they are coming from and seal it up. Third and final tip is avoid having amazon boxes and grocery store paper bags inside the home for long periods. Always break down cardboard boxes inside the garage if you have one or just remove product inside and remove cardboard from the premises.
Fleas & Ticks
Fleas and Ticks are the most important external parasites of pets, livestock and humans. Both Fleas and Ticks are very abundant, have irritating bites and can transmit diseases. Fleas can transmit tapeworms as well. Ticks can transmit lyme disease, Rocky mountain fever and relapsing fever.
One way to treat for Fleas and ticks is to call an exterminator to treat the inside (If infested) and the exterior with an insecticide along with an (IGR) insect growth regulator to help break down the fleas/ticks breeding cycle. Also to go along with treating, making sure to vacuum rugs or carpet, in turn, this activates the flea/tick eggs to hatch therefore come in contact with the insecticide.
Flies
Flies are found everywhere like mosquitoes. But they are more commonly found around sinks and drains in a home. One way to treat flies is remove their food source which is typically rotting food around the sink with build up, and backed up pipes can cause them to come out as well.
One of the best ways for treatment is to have an exterminator foam the drains with an insecticide to help eliminate the breeding grounds where they populate.
Mosquitoes
Mosquitoes are the only insect in the animal kingdom that are not beneficial to the environment. They are a pesky nuisance that invades your property and require exterior treatments with insecticides and IGR’s (Insect Growth Regulators) to help break down the mosquitoes life cycle. There are also all natural treatments with Cedar oils, Peppermint, Lavender that act as natural deterrents around your property.
A female mosquito can lay her larvae and thrive on a single bottle cap filled with water. So one way to prevent mosquitoes is to not have standing water on the property. Flip over kids toys and buckets that can accumulate and hold water.
Rodents
Rodents invade your home. The kitchen, laundry room and attic are the three most ubiquitous places to see rats and mice. But the two are easy to differentiate. Rats have two sub-species in Florida. They are the Roof Rat and the Norway Rat. They are bigger in size. Rats' teeth never stop growing so they have to constantly chew on things like wires, plastics, wood and create burrows with little tunnels in your insulation. A technician would have to come out and analyze the droppings to see what kind of rat it is. Mice are curious by nature. You will see them out and about in the daytime with little care if they see a human. They are a lot easier to deal with because they will go to the traps placed out. Unlike rats, they don’t like their environment changing and will avoid any such foreign objects they are not familiar with.
One way to avoid having them inside is to find and close up any holes they are getting through and remove any branches touching the house.
Spiders
Spiders are very tricky to treat. Unlike other insects that walk with their legs dragging or making full contact with the floor, Spiders walk on their tippy-toes. Therefore if direct contact with insecticide is not applied, the spider will not be affected by it. Also, one of the many reasons there are spiders inside the property is because there are other factors as far as food source for them. They typically eat any kind of crawling insect that gets trapped in their web.
One form of pest control is knocking down and removing any cobwebs in the corners with a de-webber that you can buy on amazon. If that’s too much, your local pest company should provide a service where they provide this kind of action.
Wasps
Wasps can be dangerous to have around as they are very territorial. Unlike Honey Bees, wasps have a stinger that remains attached when attacking a would-be intruder. Paper wasps are the most common wasps species in SFL and typically nest under the Eaves and windows of homes. They are easy to eliminate because they are very delicate to pesticides. They hive can also be removed using a weber with a long pole attached to it.
Wildlife
Wildlife can become a detriment to your home by causing structural damage, spreading diseases, contaminating food and water supplies, creating noise disturbances, and potentially posing threats to pets and family members. Wildlife can be safely removed from homes through methods such as humane traps, exclusion techniques like sealing entry points, and professional relocation services provided by our experts, ensuring both the safety of the animals and the peace of mind of homeowners.
